As a designer explores new pathways through the field of art and design, we often grapple with new ideas and knowledge as a concept materializes into form. These discoveries, in turn, inform and resonate through the formal qualities of the work, giving it a layered depth, a defensible intent, and, most importantly, an external affirmation of the designer’s curiosity.
The Writing section explores, analyzes, and shares the dimensions of discoveries encountered through the design process. Alongside my conceptual navigation through this process, my hope is that one also feels the work—encountering it beyond representation, considering, proprioception and experience, also as knowledge.
